UM DOCS DEANS RUN 2012
We are excited to announce the first ever DOCS Annual Dean’s Walk/Run to benefit the Mitchell Wolfson Sr. Department of Community Service (DOCS) at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. DOCS is an entirely student run organization that provides free screening health services to nearly 2,000 medically underserved individuals in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties. At the DOCS health fairs and clinics, often our biggest asset is educating patients on healthier lifestyle alternatives. This Dean’s Walk/Run Event is a great way to get students, faculty and the community involved and aware of their own health. The Event will be on postponed until a later date to be determined, on the University of Miami Gables Campus. Healthy snacks generously donated by Whole Foods. Dean Goldschmidt will be participating in the Walk/Run, as well as making opening remarks.
