“Residents should participate in DOCS because for just 4-8 hours of your time, the impact on patients, students, and fellow residents in immeasurable. My fellow residents who volunteer don’t go for one fair—they keep coming back! I chose to do my residency here for the same reason I love DOCS, and it was to serve the community of south Florida. For my fellow residents who chose UM/Jackson for the same reasons, coming to health fairs will remind them of the reason they went into medicine in the first place—to learn, to teach, to support each other, and to help people in need.impact on patients, students, and fellow residents in immeasurable.” – Sirisha Gadapatii, Internal Medicine PGY2 and Former DOCS Executive Director
