Miami Rescue Mission Clinic

The Wynwood/Overtown Miami Rescue Mission (MRM) is a shelter that provides stable housing, nutrition, primary care services, and workforce preparation to men who have experienced homelessness through a unique 12-18 month program. To better support these residents, DOCS has partnered with the clinic across the street from MRM to create a student run specialty clinic that brings free longitudinal specialty care. DOCS MRM started in 2021 and currently has nephrology, GI, and pulmonology clinics, but plans to expand specialty offerings in the coming years. The clinic operates on Wednesday evenings with physicians and medical student volunteers directly across the street from the MRM shelter. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to specialty care while learning about the medical and social challenges people who experience homeless face. We hope to see you there!
